Registration of BPJS

BPJS stands for Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (Social Security Administration Agency), a public legal entity responsible to the president for administering social security programs for all Indonesian citizens. 
BPJS consists of two types: BPJS Kesehatan (Health BPJS) and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (Employment BPJS). These two types of BPJS have different tasks, functions, authorities, participants, and benefits, in accordance with the laws that regulate them. BPJS Kesehatan is a public legal entity tasked with administering the national health insurance program. Meanwhile, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is a public legal entity responsible for administering the labor social security program.

BPJS Ketenagakerjaan itself provides social security programs that offer benefits such as healthcare services, rehabilitation, compensation, and/or assistance to participants who experience work-related accidents or occupational illnesses, cash benefits to participants who have reached retirement age, resigned, or been terminated from their jobs, or to their heirs in the event of the participant's death.
